由于el capitan中引入了rootless系统导致很多应用的文件分布都发生了变化,比如mactex就没有逃过这一点。 在网上找了很多资料才成功安装好,为了别人少走弯路先记录在这里。 首先要有em.
Mactex El Capitan Drive
Hi guys,Mactex El Capitan 5
OK before you read this please be patient. In October last year I bought my first Mac and installed TeXShop so am new to both.
I'm trying to install MacTex on MacOS El Capitan (10.11.6) using brew cask install mactex yet I get Error: macOS Sierra or newer is required. Is there a way of using. The 2016 version of MacTeX is the last to support Leopard (10.5) and higher on PPC and Intel. MacTeX-2018 supported Yosemite, 10.10, and higher on Intel. Early versions of MacTeX have a hidden folder structure, even though they appear to be single files in the Finder. These versions had to be compressed as zip files to be stored on the server. I upgraded to El Capitan in my new Macbook Air. El Capitan does not allow to use /usr/texbin/ for storage so LaTeX community had to move their files to /Library/TeX. MacTeX 2015 is not fully compatible with El Capitan. There is at least some path reconfigurations which has to be done in individual programs described in the guide. However, I have not succeeded in getting MacTeX fully working in El Capitan.
I upgraded my MacBook Pro to El Capitan last week and needless to say TeXShop did not work because on this operating system, writing to /usr is no longer allowed. The application loaded up but would not typeset.I have installed the latest version of MacTeX but his did not create the /Library/TeX folder on my computer. Needless to say, when I go to try and typeset i get this error message (part of a longer message):
'/Library/TeX/textbin/pdflatex does not exist. TeXShop is a front end for TeX, but you also need a TeX distribution.'
I have tried using there terminal commands under section 8 of the document 'MacTex 2015 and El Capitan' by Herb Schultz but that doesn't seem to help.
Please help as I am certain just deleting everything and beginning again will not get me any further.
Thanks in advance for your help.
